Main shayar to nahi

I had never written poems in my life ... infact never had thought that i could write ... but then you happened ... that chilly morning in Catania .. it had been raining all night .. quite unsual rains for sicily in month of december ... i was taking a nap when you entered the bus ... i felt some fragrance going by me ... i opened my eyes you were making your way in bus .. i had never seen anyone as beautiful as you .. and i am quite sure will never see .. you stopped in front of my seat ... you took your hat off .. those shiny blonde hair had little droplets of water.. moving really slowly on your hair as if they didn't want to part from you .. well who would .. i went to office, worked did my normal jobs .. i had never found those routine works so "lovely"... you were always in front of my eyes ... your scent always occupied my senses .. and my heart, he really had hard time that day as he tried to be in two places at one time .. i came back to hotel that day and wrote my first poem .. you had made a poet out of me :)

After that day i used to make up early in the morning in subzero temperatures just to catch the bus you used to take .. and then one day you sit beside me .. you smiled and i..i i almost died .. but i could not utter a word ... i dont know why .. but that day i decided i will talk to you next time i get a chance .. and that happened very next day .. i started talking .. asked you about your name .. you just smiled and didn't reply .. well i asked again .. still you kept smiling and said something in Italian .. i came to know that you only understand Italian!!!!! ... you smiled and looked at me .. those eyes were trying to say something .. but i could not translate neither italian nor that beautiful language of your eyes ..even today i stil feel that fragrance in the air whenever i close my eyes .. and i know whenever i write a poem it is your eyes inside me writing those poems in English.


Lot, can be said with eyes
Alas! we also need words
Never mind, I tried my best
Gauche! I kept on speaking
Uttering thousands of words
And you never replied
Gee! I should have surmised
English you may not know

and write them down it appears something like this
